Pastor Tim was born and raised in Peoria, IL and trusted in Christ at a young age. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a military policeman, and midway through college at Bradley University (Peoria, IL), he was deployed to Iraq with the 339th Military Police Company (Davenport, IA). While overseas, he experienced a crisis of faith, but God rescued him, rebuilt his faith, and began using him in the lives of fellow soldiers. He returned to Bradley University and met his wife Danielle through Campus Crusade for Christ.
In the summer of 2005, he had the opportunity to explore and confirm his pastoral ministry gifts as the college intern at Grace Presbyterian Church (Peoria, IL). He graduated from Bradley with a BA in Political Science and Sociology and went on to seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) where he prepared for pastoral ministry. During seminary, he served at Harvest Bible Chapel (Lake Zurich, IL) and married Danielle in 2009. After receiving his M.Div. from Trinity, he received the call to become the associate pastor at Fox Meadow Church (Monument, CO). He has had the privilege of serving as the lead pastor since February of 2013.
Danielle continues to teach math at ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch, CO. They enjoy exploring beautiful Colorado and following the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks. Tim desires to see Cathedral Rock Church become a loving, life-changing, and caring community that is passionate about proclaiming and practicing the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Pastor Steve grew up in San Jose, California, where he had the opportunity to develop in his faith in Jesus Christ at his home church of Los Gatos Christian Church. Late in high school, he realized that God had placed a unique call upon his life to shepherd people as a pastor. After graduating from Bible college in the spring of 1993, he immediately moved to Colorado Springs. He and his wife Mary were married later that fall and have been in pastoral ministry together ever since.
In over 20 years of ministry in the Colorado Springs area, Steve has had the privilege to serve in big and small congregations, starting out as a youth pastor and then small groups pastor, associate pastor, church planter, senior pastor, and now co-pastor alongside Tim Allen at Cathedral Rock Church.
Steve considers himself a blue collar pastor of sorts and loves to get his hands dirty serving in ministry alongside people, working on various personal project vehicles or doing home renovations. Mary serves in various roles within the church and loves to participate on the worship team. She is a full-time CNA and a full-time mom, wife and wonderfully talented artist.
Steve and Mary enjoy their three amazing children Bryan, Mckenna and Taylor who are now in their mid-teens to early twenties. Together they enjoy the Colorado outdoors–camping, fishing, and hiking–and watching movies.
Their family commitment has been to see revival in themselves, others, and the church. They teach and live so that men and women who are young or old will come to know Jesus, purpose to live eternally worthy lives, and long for Christ’s return.
Director of Worship & Youth
A Midwesterner at heart, Justin was born in Belleville, IL and grew up primarily in Kansas City. He was raised in the faith and always had a God-given desire to serve in the church; however, as an intensely shy child, he struggled to find avenues to exercise and develop his gifts. The youth pastors at his home church in Lenexa, Kansas decided to take a chance on him and continually gave him opportunities to lead, eventually placing him over the worship team for a youth group of over 300 students. Justin has continued to serve as a leader in youth and worship ministries ever since.
In 2009, Justin met Mandy Sandstrom on a mission trip to Arkansas. God immediately made it clear that he had found his wife, and they were married six months later. Justin & Mandy expanded their family with two amazing children, Sophia and Josiah, who have kept them young while making them feel old. They continue to serve in the church and love to spend time exploring, playing games, and laughing together as a family.
After graduating from the University of Kansas with a BA in Literature, Language, & Writing, Justin started to settle into a professional career in the insurance education industry. However, God had other plans, and Justin began to feel a call to full-time ministry in the summer of 2015. After a season of waiting and growth, God led Justin to Cathedral Rock Church, and he and his family moved to Monument, Colorado to join the staff in January of 2017.
Justin’s passion is to help students meld their knowledge and experience of God into a comprehensive faith and to create intimate moments where people can encounter the Living God in a powerful and transformative way.
Robin was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ, but went to high school in Cave Creek, AZ which is where she considers herself from. She met her husband Josh when she was a couple of hours old because both of her parents were best friends. This started a long distance friendship for many years, but they did not start dating until Robin was in her senior year of high school. After high school, Robin moved here to Colorado in August of 2012 to pursue her degree, and to be closer to Josh. They got married in August of 2015, and her brother moved in with them in July of 2016. Luckily, this job has given her the ability to balance homeschooling him and working for a church that has been such a family to her since she left home. She is so excited for this opportunity!
Chris grew up on a farm north of Kanorado, KS, working as her dad’s “hired man” – helping with the cattle, driving tractor, combine, truck, etc. She moved to California in 1975 and began working in the financial industry, working her way up to vice president of a bank. In 1977 she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. In 1990 she and Joe were married. A short time later, she felt God’s call to serve Him as a teacher of His children, so she re-entered college, finished her degree, and earned a teaching credential. She taught 2nd and 3rd graders in the Los Angeles Unified School District until she and Joe retired in 2009. They moved to Palmer Lake in July that year and began attending Fox Meadow Church shortly thereafter. Chris says, “I feel so blessed to be a part of this church and to be able to honor the Lord by serving His children and their families.”
Alicia was born and raised in the Denver area and has lived in Monument for the past 20 years. She is married to Brian and they have two grown children. They enjoy a variety of outdoor activities like camping, boating, and fishing. In addition to being a children’s director, she runs a cleaning business and teaches at a home school enrichment program in Castle Rock. She has served in various ministries over the years and has worked in AWANA for over 20 years.
Alicia shares, “Kids are my favorite ministry, by far. We goof around and have fun, for sure, but my heart’s desire is to point them to Jesus and His gift of salvation. I didn’t meet Jesus until I was grown and about to have my first child. I think how wonderful it would’ve been to have known Jesus at a much earlier age. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to serve, teach, and help equip the children and parents at Cathedral Rock.”
